Kristina Hilliard | Professional Dancer

A dancer, a designer/stylist, and a photographer collaborate

This incredibly focused, hard working, and radiant young dancer, (now attending Graduate School) emanates a confidence that’s wonderful to behold. Capturing Kristina both still, and in motion, feels like some kind of poetry. Kristina was styled by my dear friend and colleague, the super talented NYC-based fashion designer and stylist Elanur Ergodan. The watercolor-lime-green, voluminous garment you see here—with its dramatic draping and artful, dreamy, hand-dyed pattern—was designed and hand crafted by Ela herself, as was the cherry-red lack and tulle bolero, and black tulle skirt, all of which were combined with Kristina’s own garments which were selected and purchased specifically for Kristina’s shoot, after her Wardrobe Styling and Concept Planning Session.

“All that is important is this one moment in movement. Make the moment important, vital, and worth living. Do not let it slip away unnoticed and unused.” – #MarthaGraham
